You know how you sometimes get posts in your Facebook newsfeed from friends of friends, or friends of friends of friends, and you have no clue as to why they’re showing up in your feed? Well, I recently had one of those situations, and this one was particularly disturbing, considering that complete and utter bigotry and ignorance was only a friend of a friend away.
I guess the news focusing on the death of Trayvon Martin has really upset a lot of conservative/Christian white people, mainly because the news has stopped focusing on all the awful things that happen to them. How awful they must feel, not being victims. My heart goes out to them.
In retaliation, (or what passes in their eyes for retaliation) they’ve chosen to post a photo detailing the grizzly death of a couple of white teenagers from some kind of black gang. Seeing as how this story is five years old, the details of the case are completely different, and all five of the gang members were brought to justice, it couldn’t have less to do with the Trayvon Martin case. IN ADDITION, there is no mention of the white teens being Christians, nor has the media made any mention of George Zimmerman being a Christian.
And then there’s this dumb garbage:
This story is repeated all the time. Way too many of us have died. we could learn a lot from our African American friends. They always stick together, they boycott businesses and people that advertise on networks they don’t like. They have their own college fund, organizations, golf tournaments, entertainment network, and political party. They are the most powerful group on America because they go after what they want. Their churches are used for political meetings and we are afraid to lift our voices in our own churches against anything the government calls politically incorrect. We let national news media pin racist labels on us, call us hateful, let all our Christian organizations get put on a terrorist watch list, let other races kill our people like sitting ducks and never call it a hate crime. How many thousands of us die in our homes and in the streets. Yes, our God is Sovereign. He has ordained our days. But He has also ordained that we should speak for the innocent. That includes our own children. Should include them first. They are clueless what is waiting them if we do nothing. We let them pass laws that violate the Constitution and pretend it never happened. We throw money at Hollywood movies and they turn around and make documentaries that spread lies about us, and pour out the most vile filth for our young people to feast on. Let’s stand up for ourselves. We can boycott Hollywood. We can boycott every business that advertises on News Networks that won’t tell the whole truth. We can boycott those who hate us and call for our downfall. We are Christian, and we still have the right to speak, and there is more to Christianity than just John 3:16. It is about right and wrong, about justice. African Americans were not afraid of water hoses or going to jail. Martin Luther King, led peaceful resistance. And won. I sure admire his boldness. One black man changed a whole nation. What are we afraid of. Somehow we have let the church tell us we should send our sons and daughters to war, to die, to be killed and maimed for freedom. But we are afraid to stand up for ourselves in the nation they died to defend. We cannot say it’s okay to let them die for enemies outside our nation, and quiver before those who want to destroy us on the inside. Hollywood and the news media and many people of other races have declared war on us. They are calling for our deaths for something we had nothing to do with. We need a Martin Luther for our race. Just quiet peaceful resistance now, or we will be burying each other en masse.
This idiot white lady manages to make the Martin case and the above case about herself, her family, and apparently all whites? And apparently she wants to start a race war, because white Christians are completely different from minority Christians?
God, I hate Facebook.
